Worship in the Great Room
Worship in the Great Room this July has been a grand experiment of finding new ways to encounter God. It has been a truly fun way to worship this summer with big changes like different types of hymns and new ways to encounter one another. A favorite for me has been how we have had to sit near one another--I love how people who have worshiped together for quite some time are getting to know each other because there are fewer spaces to spread out. Wild Goose
We were told there were bears in Black Mountain. The signs were everywhere: "Caution, Bear Territory;" or "Nature Area—Bear Habitat;" or my favorite: "Bears live here. Use Common Sense." We were even shown a video of a bear at night wandering through the area in which we would be staying. There is a difference, however, in knowing that bears live in an area and personally encountering a bear.
